Tell me a little about yourself: Hello! I’m Nikki, a 30 year old marketer who joined the Institute in 2019. I rent a flat in beautiful Reigate, with my partner who works in IT, and our dog Baloo – an insanely manic but wonderfully loving Pomsky (Husky cross Pomeranian). Having realised a career on stage was not to be, particularly with my crippling fear of public speaking, I’ve worked in marketing for four years now and really enjoy it. To me, marketing is all about finding ways to communicate and engage with people through content that is hopefully beneficial and adds value to their lives. Outside of work hours I love reading, walking, camping, time creating anything (writing, painting, sculpting), or finding any occasion for a chance to fancy dress.
What has been the highlight of your career so far? Joining the Institute and taking ownership of the digital channels. It’s been really fun having so much freedom to shape these, and to see the impact from changes so quickly.
What is your favourite thing about working for TAI? The team atmosphere. I’ve never worked somewhere where everyone’s opinions are equally respected and valued, and the freedom to be creative and take ownership of your role is so encouraged.
What motivates you? Trying out new ideas. I’m a lefty which apparently means I have a creative brain, and I love coming up with new ways of doing something – particularly when it works well.
Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life? Definitely Amelia Clarke. She’s so quirky, and at 5,2″ to my 5ft, a shorty like me!
Where is your favourite place to go to unwind? Anywhere with water. I love going to the beach and watching the sea, but a bubbling stream or pretty pond can be just as therapeutic. I also love swimming, visiting aquariums, or just a LONG soak in a bubble bath.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be? Just be yourself, it’s the best way to feel truly content and happy.

I reckon energetic, overly-organised, and far-too-obsessed-with-my-dog.
