Spotlight on Nicky Cowan, assistant to Roger Urwin, Marisa Hall and Tim Hodgson

April 6, 2020

Tell me a little about yourself: First and foremost I am a mother of three wonderful children, went for number two and got two AND three (twins)! Highly successful sportswoman back in the day – I love my sport and have very high hopes for my children who, although young, are showing huge potential.

I went to Manchester Met Uni and studied Sports Science and Business. I then lived in London for over 10 years before retreating back to Surrey where I grew up. I’ve had quite a diverse career, starting in property, and then in the film industry, followed by communications.

What has been the highlight of your career so far? Travelling to Hong Kong and Singapore on business development experiences overseas. I did business development for a property company who were rife when Singapore and HK were buying up in London so it involved a lot of travel and interaction.

What is your favourite thing about working for TAI? The people I work with, cliched but I really do love working with them all.

What motivates you? My children, my family, I love my work and going to work which helps me appreciate and love my family even more.

As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?  When I grew up I wanted to be a physiotherapist for the England rugby team. Sadly I needed three sciences at A-level to get to Loughborough (which was my dream) and I only managed Maths and Biology…(and Economics).

What is your favourite movie, and why?  The Champ. I watched it with my best friend from school when I was 14 and cried buckets – still do – and she is still my bestie.

Who does the cooking in your household?

have you met my husband………….!

Say hello
