Closing the gaps | 2020 sustainability summit

For our 2020 sustainability summit we choose to step back and try to take in the bigger picture. The Institute believes there are four clear gaps that must be closed if we are to be successful in investing sustainably: skills, data, collaboration and purpose. During two deep-dive sessions we will explore these, inviting ideas from attendees as to which actions we can take. Join us to drive change in the investment industry for the benefit of all stakeholders, including wider society and the planet.

The summit will be split into two parts:

  • Day 1:1 December, 8am to 10am (GMT) - A live virtual session to discuss the skills and the data gaps. This session will feature insights from working group members and other leading investment professionals, and will consider closing the skills and data gaps in pursuing sustainability
  • Day 2:2 December, 8am to 10am (GMT) - A live virtual session to discuss closing the collaboration and the purpose gaps. This session will also feature insights from leading investment experts and will end with by encouraging all involved to agree and prioritise the actions investment organisations need to take.
  • Joining instructions for both sessions will be added to this webpage and emailed to registered attendees closer to the time.

After the event we will shape the ideas discussed into an industry roadmap, which will be circulated on completion.
